Out of growing concern of the escalating alienation of adolescence, Sheth Pratapsinh Vissanji, had taken upon himself to establish Vissanji Academy amidst a city where perplexities collide with obscured objectives. Initially, in the early 60’s Sir Mathuradas Vissanji, an industrialist and a noted philanthropist, founded Lady Vissanji Girls Academy to bring about Women Empowerment by educating the Girl Child. Towards reinforcing his late father Sir Mathuradas Vissanji‘s purpose of spreading comprehensive quality education, Sheth Pratapsinh Vissanji aimed at forming a school, Vissanji Academy that would effectively balance young receptive minds with the appeal of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, art, theatre, music, dance rooms and playing fields. The academy constantly works hard to equip itself with the modern amenities to keep pace with the rapid advances today, while also providing vivid awareness of India’s rich cultural heritage. Vissanji Academy educates students from playschool to Std 10. With the help of congenial efforts of Mr. Hemant Vissanji and Mrs. Arati Vissanji today, forty six years since its inception, Vissanji Academy School stands tall.
